Wii Fit Wii Game Review
Wii Fit
Wii Fit by Nintendo is a whole new concept of games and exercise with the use of balance board peripheral. Though, there are limitations on effectiveness as a fitness tool and as a game, Wii Fit launches fresh idea of movement within the game as a form of exercise and fun.
Balance board peripheral is a key part of the Wii Fit. It directs person standing on the board to make such movements by watching the screen. It acts as a internal scale that detects changes in weight and pressure as you’re standing on it. The board is sturdy weights around 8.8 lbs. which interacts with the Wii deck wireless. The board is sensitive enough to pick up shifts in weight in fast action. It’s battery operated and comes with four rubbers feet with extra feet for carpet floor. The limitation on the weight is only 330 lbs. Wii Fit should be viewed only as a light exercise tool, it mostly concentrates balance and motion that improves muscle tone but limits on heavy cardio and actual weight loss but that should be done at actual gym anyways. It's reason enough to select Wii Fit as their choice for fun excerise that your whole family can enjoy. There’s however way to track your weight, body mass index (BMI), and time tracking on how long you’ve been exercising which all helps to monitor your health over time. The body mass index is calculated by birth and weight, and height that you input. Weight is calculated by stepping on the board. This helps to determine whether you are underweight or overweight by BMI score. Also included is Wii Fit balance test that determines Wii Fit Age by variety of balance tests which you can try as many times as you want, but know that Wii Fit Age result can be recorded daily. Although this is a great tool, only rely on it as a light version of your health guide. Actual overall health result should come from actual health care professionals. Wii Fit should not be relied on as a real medical anaylsis. Enjoy this device as family fun game which is actually cool to use virtuous screen to make your movement. It all looks like you're in vacation at times looking at snow slopes which is from "ski slopes" activity. Nintendo where they are mostly known for their games have come up with this new idea taking games to whole another level. In some ways cannot be compared with such game console as Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. They have successed moving themselves away from such competition and stood by themselves alone.
The Exercise is divided in to 4 categories: Yoga, Muscle, Aerobic and Balance. Yoga and Muscle categories have 15 moves to work out from. This is more serious type of exercise where there’s virtual trainers that tells you how well or not so well you are doing. These exercises can be chosen from very simple movement to more strenuous activities which need to be carefully chosen by the level of player’s health condtions. There’s no body to help you to guide your exercises so you need to be careful when choosing an exercise not to hurt yourself from following the movements if you are just the beginner. Some of the yoga activities include simple as breathing exercise to more advanced movements. The muscle toning section from basic lunges to push ups and more advanced exercise such as parallel stretch.
The Aerobic and Balance activities tend to be more fun exercise movements totaling 18 games to choose from. Aerobic games include hula hoops, boxing, jogging and more. The balance games have more fun activities such as ski jump, ski slope, snowboarding which the board needs to be turned sideways to play. The far more fun game included is table tilt which uses the balance board the most. While these games are fun they lack functionality in multiplaying (except two players jogging). Multiplaying is available when chosen at the begnning of the game.
The balanced board, peripheral certainly introduced a new tool that can be used in wide vaiety of other games out there. It certainly is impressive in its making, and its success as how Wii Fit was introduced as fun and fitness in one product gives variety of excercises. One can increase level of difficulty inside the "table tilt" game which is ever challenging to the competitive player. Hopefully with this introduction of Wii Fit, the outlook of adding actual movement to the game is promising rather than standard sit and stare mode we're all use to as a gamer. Looking forward to more advanced features in near future for Nintendo's Wii Fit. It's load of fun for adults and children which makes it a nice family time activity.
